Albion Elementary

From the Principal

I'm still learning the ropes, but we are off to a great start!

Welcome back to the 2017-2018 school year. As you know we pride ourselves on being a small school with BIG opportunities. This year we have many new and exciting projects/activities happening at Albion Elementary. We have added two new specials that we are very excited about this year. Art will held every other Wednesday for all students. It is our hope that this will give an outlet to our artistic students. We have also added a MakerSpace special where students will focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). We have purchased 3 3D printers and Sphero Balls that will be used in conjunction with MakerSpace, giving students the chance to make their creations come to life. Albion Elementary will be adding a Robotics team for a small group of 3rd graders, that we hope to expand over the next couple of years to more students across more grades. We have so many great opportunities for students to be creative and learn using 21st-century skills. Seesaw for schools will be rolled out for staff and students. Seesaw has been used by a few teachers last year and will be used K-5 this year. It will be a great tool to help parents see what your kids are doing daily and will deepen kids mastery of their grade level content. We can't wait to see the growth of our students! As always if you have any questions, comments, or concerns feel free to call, email, or stop by the office to see me. #GoBeyond #CNProud #WeAre1
