Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 - October 15 with your staff and students. The 2019 theme is Hispanic Americans: A History of Serving Our Nation. Upcoming College Fairs
Both of these college fairs are free and open to the public:
Indy West Side College Fair at Ben Davis High School, Monday, September 23, 6:30 until 8:30 pm., with over 100 colleges, universities, trade programs, and apprenticeship opportunitiesIndianapolis National College Fair at the Indiana Convention Center, Tuesday, September 24, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. What is my school's responsibility when an English Learner leaves our school?
When an English Learner transfers from your school to another school corporation, it is your school’s responsibility to ensure that the following items are in the student’s cumulative folder to be transferred:
· original Indiana Home Language Survey
· Individual Learning Plan (ILP)
· A copy of the Parent Notification letter that indicates the student’s score on Kindergarten W-APT or WIDA Screener and/or WIDA ACCESS and their placement in a English language development program
· Copy of a student’s WIDA ACCESS student proficiency report (if applicable)
· IREAD. ILEARN or other state assessment scores
· Copy of a parent’s refusal of services (if applicable)
· Exiting/Monitoring documents for students in the two-year monitoring period (if applicable)
