Terror attacks in Paris
"A night of terror"-CNN says
What we know
On horrible night, three teams of terrorists (claimed to be ISIS) launched attacks on six different locations throughout Paris. The terrorists attacked a concert hall, the Stade de France and two different restaurants. At least 129 people were killed in the attacks and more than 352 were injured, 99 of them seriously. It was the worst violence in France since WW2.
President Francis Hollande says his country "is at war". While investigators begin to put the pieces together France is pounding ISIS targets in Syria with airstrikes. The authorities found a black Renault Clio with Belgian plates which had been rented by Salah Abdeslam a 26-year-old who had a connection to the attacks. The British prime minister told parliament he will try to convince them to approve UK airstrikes in Syria because right now the UK is only participating in airstrikes in Iraq.
