Self Care and Mindfullness
- None of us our experts in any of this!
- We will make mistakes.
- We will learn from our mistakes.
- We will do everything we can to support students during this unique time in history.
- We have an amazing community that comes together to support one another in the best and worst of times!
As the leaders of this new abnormal, please take time for your own self care. Consider some of these questions as you determine your at-home routines:
- What am I grateful for today?
- Who am I checking in on or connecting with today?
- What expectations of "normal" am I letting go of today?
- How am I getting outside safely today and/or moving my body?
- What beauty am I either creating, cultivating, or inviting in today?

* Glen, Leslie, Heather, Julie S, James, Robyn, Ashley and Sanjana - Thank you to this superb team for all of their work to prepare training videos for staff, live Zoom Room support, videos to help students use resources, and for answering a million individual emails with very specific questions from tons of staff members! I continue to be amazed by their talents, their patience, and their willingness to be flexible. Our distance learning plan is well-supported by this team!
* Julie S., Marisela, Glen, Leslie and more - Thank you for working hard to continue to determine the internet access needs of our students and their families. This has been a daunting task and this team is making 1:1 contact with teachers and families to ensure they will have access ASAP.
* Julie B and the Farm Lab Team - Thank you for continuing to harvest and share delicious, organic, fresh produce from our Farm Lab. Our community is able to benefit from your support!
* Christie K - Thank you for continuing to organize the weekly volunteer support at OK for our families picking up food and donations! We continue to hear positive words of gratitude for all the kindness and support families are receiving during this time.
* Veronica - Thank you for organizing a list of community needs, with over 100 personal connections with families. We continue to hear from families in need and we seek out resources to support them. Thanks to Marisela for supporting this on-going project.
*Rachel T - Thank you for starting to work on our iPad repair protocol. Rachel has begun to make appointments with families who need iPad repairs. She will be meeting parents at OK on Mondays and Wednesdays.
