The O So Good Newsletter

Nov. 13, 2021

Principally Speaking........

Dear Osgood Families,

There have been several great things that have happened here at The Osgood since our last newsletter. We have enjoyed many classroom Fall Festivals, thank you to all of the wonderful family volunteers that organized these with the classroom teachers. We have had several grade level connections with our friends at Holly Hill Farm and an outstanding Book Fair was held by The Osgood PSO.

On Wednesday, we recognized and celebrated our Veterans for their service. It was wonderful to see everyone participate in making cards for the Veterans and placing flags outside our school.

Then, of course we get to this month in learning, we have all have been working on our reading and math skills. In math we are looking at patterns in our Math Corner, and In Fundations we are exploring new sounds in speaking, spelling and reading.

As you go through the pictures of the newsletter I hope you are able to tell the story of Osgood during the first few weeks of November. The pictures below and others that are on Twitter (@JOsgoodppal) really do relay a story of the incredible accomplishments our teachers and students have been able to achieve in the last few weeks.

Please check the rest of this newsletter out for information from our school nurses, Save-the Date and updates from our PSO.

Lastly, The Osgood Elementary School Family wishes you all a wonderful Thanksgiving, we hope you make lasting memories with your family and friends! We are very thankful for the support that we receive from you each day.

Sincerely Yours,

Lisa M. Farrell

BRRRRR... Dress For The Weather Outside

This is just a friendly reminder that as the weather turns from Fall to Winter, we do love getting the students outside for recess, PE and mask breaks. Please pack sweatshirts, hats/gloves, jackets and the like.

In The KNOW.....

1. The Osgood Student-Family Handbook has

been updated for 2021-22 and can be found on the Osgood website under the family tab section and was emailed to all families.

2. This is a reminder that our schools are currently operating under a universal indoor masking policy. All staff, students, and visitors are required to wear a mask indoors. If a mask is forgotten, soiled or misplaced during the day we will provide one.

3. All students will continue to have access to free school lunch and snack. Please remind your child in the morning if they are getting school lunch or bringing a lunch from home.

4. Please remember to let the office know if there is a change in your child's dismissal routine by 2:15.
