Message from the Principal
Basketball and After-School Registrations are due by Friday, September 28th. Please make sure you have your forms and registration fees turned in on time to allow us to plan a quality program for your child. Last minute registrations will be placed on a waiting list to determine if there are enough materials ready and adult supervision to accommodate the additional children. Parents will be notified by email when an opening is available. Unregistered children will be sent to Bearcat Club.
Football Cleanup will take place this Saturday, September 29 at the football game. The game starts at 1:30. Please plan to join us after the game for clean up.
Be sure to check out the information about the upcoming Parent Advisory Council Meeting on Monday, October 1 and the Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 13! We would love for our families to be a part of this.
You will also find information about America Reads and our new student counselor in the information below.
Thank you!

Stadium Cleanup Fundraiser - Saturday, Sept 29 - Game Starts at 1:30
Please join us for this easy fundraiser helping with cleanup at home football games.
This usually takes about 20 minutes and we make roughly $150 per game to help with classroom expenses.
The more families helping, the faster it goes.
If you do not wish to attend the game, we ask that you show up at about 3:30pm to help.
If we don't have family support, we risk losing this helpful opportunity.
Meet at the north end of the visitor’s section at the end of each football game; gloves and trash bags will be provided.
Mark your calendar for our other clean-up dates! We only have two opportunities left!
Sat. 10/13/2018 *game starts at 2 p.m.
Sat. 11/3/2018 *game starts at 1:30 p.m.
Parent Advisory Council (PAC)
Our first PAC meeting is Monday, October 1 at 5:30 in the Horace Mann Cafe. We plan to talk about the Homecoming Parade and upcoming fundraising ideas, as well as talk about a few housekeeping items. All are welcome to attend!
Homecoming will be Saturday, October 13th. Families are asked to donate candy for this event. Information about signing up to walk in the parade will be available at the PAC meeting and published in next week's newsletter.
America Reads
Dear Parents,
Thank you for your patience as we get the final paperwork and background checks done on our new tutors. Our start date will be Monday, October 8th. A letter will be going home with your child on Friday letting you know the day, time, and the name of your tutor. We have tried to keep 1st/2nd graders on Monday/Wednesday and 3rd-6th grade Tuesday/Thursday.
If you have any questions please let me know.
