Device Agreements
We ask that you remind tamariki of the responsibilities of using kura devices at home. These are the same as using kura devices in class:
Take care and look after the device.
Do not access sites that are inappropriate.
Do not send messages that may be seen as harassment or bullying.
Kura devices are for kura mahi only and only for student use.
Due to the speed in which we went into lockdown ‘Device Agreements’ were not able to be completed onsite, therefore accepting to utilise the device at home, you also accept the terms of use.
Under this Agreement the student will:
1. Use the device for the purposes it was provided and abide by the ‘Kura Acceptable use of the Internet Policy’ and ‘Computer and Internet Use Agreement’.
2. Provide suitable care and security of the device at all times and immediately report any damage or loss of the laptop to your kaiako, and Tumuaki.
3. Be prepared to cover the excess of $100.00 or the cost of repair or replacement of the laptop when the damage or loss has been a result of your own negligence (cost will vary depending on damage).
4. Make a commitment to achieving the ICT goals of the kura.
5. Return the device to the kura on the first day that kura is reopened.
6. In accordance with kura policies, be held responsible for any involvement by yourself or any other user of your laptop in activities associated with accessing inappropriate or illegal materials.
COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic
Level 4 restrictions require the clinic at kura to be rescheduled to next week. By the end of the week the vaccination team will be in contact with you with an amended date and time. If you have not received your first vaccination, you still can by calling 0800 MIHI 4U or 0800 644 448. This now includes tamariki aged 12 years and up.
Mauri ora,
Whaea Sharlene Teirney
