Annual Chariho Food Drive
Our school has won this district competition last year and have the banner proudly hanging by the office. Let's continue to brag that Hope Valley is the smallest school with the biggest heart!
Boxes will be provided for each classroom to collect canned food. The 4th grade will make posters as a reminder to all of what can be donated, how long the food drive lasts, and that everything collected goes right back to the Chariho community.
LET'S DO THIS!
Executive Functioning Webinar
The 360 Executive Functioning Webinar series combines concepts that are at the core of these deficits: situational and intention awareness, visual future thinking, time awareness and task visualization to promote efficient and accurate completion of tasks. It also facilitates the development of 6 key skills for students: initiation, transition, planning, time management, self-regulation and meta-cognition.
Please join us in learning more about Executive Functioning skills and how to develop strategies that support deficits in these areas. These sessions will complement the educator series in order to support and strengthen the home school connection.

Collection COVID Testing Event
Here is the information regarding the program and how to register:
Our district has chosen to participate in Operation Expanded Testing, a program supported and
funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to provide COVID-19 PCR
testing to K-12 schools at no cost to the school. Participation in this program helps schools stay safer against the risk of COVID-19. This program will help keep students in the classroom and prevent the spread of COVID-19 via weekly testing for students and staff. Four staff members which includes myself and Nurse Tara have been trained.
To opt into the program, please visit the following site: Link to register child for testing
The registration process takes less than 5 minutes. For a short video guide on “how to” complete the registration/consent, activate your child’s online account to view results: View Video Here

Tentative Plan for Chariho's COVID 19 Vaccination Clinic for 5-11 year old students
We have heard from RIDOH that we are TENTATIVELY planned for our ages 5-11 clinic for Wednesday, November 10, 2021, from 3pm-5pm at Chariho Middle School. This date is contingent on CDC authorization, shipping of the vaccine, and logistics planning through RIDOH. A link to register will be sent via email once the vaccine is authorized with a confirmed date. Please click here to complete the interest form.
COVID-19 vaccines help protect against the Delta variant, which spreads more easily and quickly than other variants. To keep our schools open and safe, the state is asking everyone who is eligible to be fully vaccinated. As a reminder, students who are vaccinated and asymptomatic will not need to quarantine, if they become a close contact per RIDOH guidance. Please click here to review a joint letter from the Commissioner of Education and Dr. Alexander Scott regarding vaccinations. More information can be found on the RI VACCINATION FAQ
