May is Asian Pacific American and Jewish American Heritage Month

Strict safety guidelines will be followed at each event. There also may be a guest maximum for each event; their teachers will give your student these instructions. A temperature and symptom check will be completed for all students accompanying parties before the entrance to the event will be granted. If you or your student is sick, we ask that you stay home.
Virtual Book Fair
When: May 10th to May 23rd

How to Shop: There will be over 6,000 items to shop in a virtual setting from preschool to 12th grade. Books will also include over 200 of Scholastic’s top-selling books. Click on the homepage link above for more information.
On May 10th, shopping will go live, and books and other items will be available for purchase. All orders ship to your home, and book-only orders $25+ ship free. All purchases will benefit the school.
Shopping will close at 11:59 pm on the night of May 23rd.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
FINAL Elementary Attendance Contest!
End of Year CONTEST: The raffle Contest will run from April 27th - May 21st. Students will have their name placed in the raffle for certain guidelines. Please see the attached Flyer. Drawing for prizes will take place on Monday, May 24, 2021.
IS YOUR STUDENT GOING TO BE ABSENT: Remember to call 303-360-0052 x 200 or go to the Lotus website to report a student absence.
Summer Session: June 1-July 25, 2021
Registration: It begins now and ends May 28th, 2021.
Classes: Two 90 minute sessions per week for 8 weeks (16 classes in total)

PBIS Store
Hours of operation:
6th, 7th, and 8th grades will pick up purchased items on May 21, 2021
Prize pick-ups will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Fridays) outside of the elementary gym.
Orders must be placed by Friday (May 14, 2021) before Pick up.

School Library
The Lotus library is now open for book requests for all grades (K-5). Please use the link below to look through the lists of books that are available. For easier access use your student's school Gmail account.

I will be taking library book requests until May 14, 2021. Library books will need to be returned before May 25, 2021. They can be returned on Thursdays between 3:00-4:15 PM or Fridays between 3:00-4:00 PM. If parents are unable to return books at these times, they can set up an appointment time with me.
Students may order books during the week of their Friday pickup time. For example, K-2 students can order books this week from the PBIS store and will receive them on Friday, May 7, 2021. Next week 3rd-5th grade can continue to order books until May 14th, 2021. If you have any questions, please let me know.
