The Apollo Times

August 15th, 2021

Good evening Apollo Families! We had a great first week back in school, and are looking forward to an amazing year ahead! This is the first edition of The Apollo Times, and you should expect to receive an updated edition every weekend in your email inbox before the new school week begins. We have tried to embed as many links as possible, so this should be your one-stop shop for everything that has to do with Apollo High School. Students, we have 3 days completed so far, and only 42 days left to get all of your productive hours. Make sure to come to school on time, ready to be productive, and pass all of your classes!

Communication between all parties is paramount to success in high school. We have three ways to stay connected to Apollo High School via social media. While the pictures and announcements are important, we believe the ability our students have to send us a direct message through one of these accounts is the most vital purpose these social media accounts serve. If students need to report something, see a friend in need and are looking for help, or have a question, all they have to do is message us and we will get it immediately. This is just one more example of how our Apollo Family takes care of each other. Please follow or like us on one or more of the following platforms:

Would You Like To Make A Donation?

Many of the events and programs we run at Apollo High School are funded by our gift account. The gift account consists of donations from our families and the community. We do not have ASB cards for our students, nor do we ask for money during the school year. Last week we were able to have pizza, chips, and water for all of our of charge! This was made possible by our gift account. If you would like to make a donation to our school gift account you can do so by check made to Apollo High School. If you have any questions please contact Karen in our office. Thank you!

AERIES - Data Confirmation

Aeries is the SVUSD Student Information System and the primary tool of communication. It is required that all families complete the data confirmation in the Aeries portal as soon as possible.

When updating contact information it would be helpful to use a cell phone number as the primary number. This will allow you to receive the text messages the school will frequently send out. Click LINK for directions.

There are a few new changes that we would like to bring to your attention:

1. The Income section has been added back to the Data Confirmation process. If families do not feel comfortable answering the Income questions, they are able to “Confirm and Continue” on the Income section without answering the questions. There is an explanation paragraph to help families understand why the district is asking for this information.

2. There is a new authorization to confirm knowledge of our SVUSD “Anonymous Online Tip Form” available at

3. There is a new authorization for us to “Share Contact Information with Select District Service Providers” such as Cornerstone and O’Connor Brothers.
