HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE TRAIL THIS MONTH!
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Timberwolf Families:
We are gearing up for a terrific school year, 2016-2017, here in the Home of the Timberwolves. I would like to welcome all returning students and families as well as all students entering Banks Trail for the first time.
Every year is exciting as we look forward to the familiar and the new opportunities presented to all of us. This is my second year as a principal at Banks Trail and I am just as proud as I was on my first day. My enthusiasm stems from the fact that I am doing what I love in a diverse and supportive community. At Banks Trail, I share the core beliefs that have set the stage for excellence over time. Fundamentally, I believe that all students have a right to a quality education. This means that all students receive the academic challenge needed to excel and grow. At Banks Trail, we aspire to teach the whole child through a broad spectrum of courses, electives, and extracurricular activities through which our students learn important life skills and build character as well.
We cannot sustain our core beliefs without your involvement and encouragement and I thank you in advance for helping us succeed with your children.
Thank you for entrusting your children to us.
Can't wait to see everyone in August.
Michael Pratt

School Communication
In an effort to keep all of our Timberwolf families informed, we will use a variety of communication efforts. First and foremost, our BTMS website, http://btms.fortmillschools.org/ Is an excellent source of information, and Mrs. Munn does a great job keeping it updated. We also have a Twitter account at BTMS: @btmstimberwolf where we try to post announcements and recognize Timberwolves using this instant technology. Each week parents can expect to receive an electronic copy of a weekly update from your child’s teachers. This will help you know what is going on with their classes. Our 2016-17 Student handbook has been added to the BTMS web site. Please pay special attention to the Cell Phone/Electronic Device, Absence/Tardy, and Dress Code policies.
