SRMS will be a hub to develop academic and social success for our diverse population, where all students and faculty matter and have a gift to contribute to our school and community.
Important Dates
- 8th Grade Student Celebration will occur on Tuesday, June 15, and again on Wednesday, June 16.
- The last day of school is Thursday, June 17.
- June 17 is a two-hour early dismissal day.
- Final report cards will be available in Home Access Center (HAC) at 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 24.
ATTENTION Families of Sixth-graders
All students entering 7th grade must have proof of having received Meningococcal (MCV4) and Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis/Whooping Cough (Tdap) vaccinations to enter 7th grade. Verification must be provided before the first day of school of the 2021-2022 school year.
Immunization records can be emailed to the school nurse at labinnix@smcps.org or faxed to 301-863-4035. Please contact the school nurses with any questions about this requirement.
Curbside Meal Distribution
Curb-side meal distribution will be available on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Each Wednesday’s meal bag will include food for three days. Each Friday’s meal bag will include food for four days. Curb-side meal bags include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack plus milk and/or water.
Meals can be picked up from any participating school site even if your child attends a different school.
Curb-side meal distribution will only be available for pick-up at the following school sites:
- Banneker Elementary
- Chopticon High
- L.M. Dent Elementary
- Esperanza Middle
- Dynard Elementary
- Great Mills High
- Greenview Knolls Elementary
- Leonardtown High
- Lexington Park Elementary
- Margaret Brent Middle
- Ridge Elementary
- Spring Ridge Middle

"Everybody Eats" Program at SRMS
It is our lunch donation fund that ensures all of our Harriers have access to a nutritious
lunch to make it through their day. Please consider making a donation to our lunch fund.
Donations can be made online, by visiting MySchoolBucks. Go to www.myschoolbucks.com. Go to your profile and make sure that your student is added as a student. Then click on the School Store link at the top of the page or the school store icon in the middle of the screen, and browse all items. At this point all items that are available for your student will show.
