Genetic Variation
What is genetic Variation?
In genetic variation, the genes of organisms within a population change. Gene alleles determine distinct traits that can be passed on from parents to offspring. Gene variation is important to the process of natural selection. The genetic variations that arise in a population happen by chance, but the process of natural selection does not.
Examples of genetic variation
some examples of genetic variation are things like hair. Your hair color can be many different colors and you wont know exactly what it is until it grows because genetic variation means there is a variation of different outcomes of the way it will look. Animals are another example of genetic variation. There could be a wolf and it could be the same type of wolf as the one next to it but they could look completely different because genetic variation caused one wolves fur, eyes, maybe even body figure to be different than the other one.
this picture shows how genetic variation can change the way something turns out.
this picture shows different types of hair which genetic variation affects the way it will look.
this shells are an example of genetic variation because they show that genetic variation means that two identical things can be different because genetic variation chose to make one different in appernance than the other.
