Curriculum Highlights

What a fun time we had wrapping up our Texas theme with the Pre K Rodeo! The kids had so much fun and it was precious seeing how excited they were going from station to station! We are having a great time with our new unit, All things Spring! The kiddos are enjoying learning all about butterflies, plants, and weather changes. We are growing our own plants here at school but we encourage you to grow some plants at home as well! Report cards were sent home earlier this week. If you haven't already, please sign the envelope and send it in as soon as possible. Thank you!

General Information

With the weather warming up some kiddos may need a different change of clothes put in their backpacks. Please check to make sure the extra outfit is weather appropriate and includes socks, underwear, bottoms, and a top.

Please remember to keep these items in your child's bag at all times:

A labeled jacket

A change of clothes

Extra masks if chosen

A full water bottle

We provide snack daily so no food needed unless they are bringing lunch :)

Dear Kindergarten and PreK Parent(s):

Ride's annual Field Day is quickly approaching. We recommend that your child wears comfortable clothes, applies sunscreen, and brings a labeled water bottle.

Each student will be teacher-paired into a “buddy group.” The buddies and a parent volunteer will work together to complete various cooperative, competitive, and active events. Groups are free to complete the events in any order they like. The following is a schedule for the day’s activities.

A representative from your child’s classroom might contact you requesting volunteers to chaperone a group of kinder / preK students. For those of you with additional children at Ride, please be aware that parents who volunteer to lead a Field Day event for the school may not concurrently volunteer to “chaperone” a group of students. K and PreK chaperones will report to the classroom at 10:35am. No spectators, please. We are looking forward to an active, student-focused event! Thank you, Bridget Hodge and Laura Matthews
