This edition has information on our Homecoming festivities, including: Dress up days, dance dress code, ticket sales, court selection and more. Our theme this year is "Out of this World." Students with 10 or more unexcused absences will not be allowed to attend the dance, however, they may appeal this decision. Appeal forms are available in the office. Attendance information is available in myStudent.

Homecoming Dance
Homecoming Court Procedures
Students will be selecting our Homecoming Court from a list of our on-track students. On-track student lists were pulled from the system today 10/7/22, voting will begin 10/12/22 during lunches.
Is my student On-Track?
On-track students receive an On-Track wrist band and free admission to athletic events except state series events!
On-Track
- Fewer than 3 unexcused absences in any period in the quarter
- 2.5 Cumulative GPA and no D or F for the Quarter
- No discipline referrals
At Risk
- 3 to 5 unexcused absences in any period in the quarter
- Behind 1 credit or GPA 2.0-2.49
- 4 or less level 1 referrals or 1 or less level 2 referrals
Off-Track
- 6 or more unexcused absences in any period in the quarter
- Behind 2 or more credits and/or GPA below 2.0
- 5 or more level 1 referrals or 2 or more level 2 referrals
Homecoming Dance Dress Code

2022-23 Dance Dress Code
Young Women:
* Must wear a dress, pantsuit, or dress meeting the criteria below.
* Back CANNOT be cut lower than the waistline.
* All dresses must NOT show cleavage inappropriately.
* The dress length must be at least mid-thigh in length.
Young Men:
* Dress pants, collared dress shirt, and dress shoes are required.
* Shirts MUST be tucked into pants appropriately, pants MUST NOT be sagging but be fitted securely around the waist, undergarments MUST NOT be visible.
All Students:
* Students will not be admitted wearing cargo pants, sneakers, denim, jeans, t-shirts, torn clothing, chains/spikes, sexually implicit or explicit clothes, shorts, ball caps, bandanas, or items referencing tobacco or alcohol products.
* Only students and guests meeting the dress requirements will be admitted to the dance. Refunds will not be granted.
** If you have questions concerning your attire, it is your responsibility to seek prior approval from an Administrator. Any questions regarding dress should be resolved before the evening of the dance.

Student Consequences for Unexcused Absences
At the secondary level, attendance is marked per period. If a student has at least five (5) unexcused absences, or absences for which the reasons are unknown, in any one course within a calendar month or ten (10) unexcused absences, or absences for which the reasons are unknown, in any one course within a semester, the student may lose privileges as described below.
Loss of Privileges Due to Unexcused Absences
• May be excluded from attendance reward incentives as defined at the school level.
• Lose the privilege of participating in extracurricular activities. These include but are not limited to dances, special events, club activities and athletics, until the end of the following grading quarter. Absences accumulated in the fourth quarter will result in loss of privileges during said grading quarter only and will not carry over to the following year.
• Lose the privilege to drive to campus until the end of the following grading quarter.

The principal or designee may review extenuating circumstances resulting in a loss of privilege(s). The principal’s decision is final. Principal review is only intended to reinstate privileges that have been lost as described above. It is not intended to impose harsher discipline than what is outlined herein and in another district policy.
