Frequently Asked Questions...
For parents who would like to learn independently...
As the district selects electronic platforms for use by students, staff and parents, we will update this newsletter with learn-on-your-own videos. If these videos do not meet your needs, please go to Youtube.com and type in the Search Bar the key phrases such as "Google Classroom for Parents" and many videos will display. There are many, many options out there! Please contact your child's teacher if you need further assistance or have questions about the account information they have provided for you.

Getting Started for Parents
To "Zoom" or to "Meet" which is the answer?!
Zoom has provided our families, committees and staff with an incredibly user friendly platform which allows us to engage in meetings, instruction and classroom discussions. The 40 minute limit the company places on use will go into effect again come August 3rd. Our district has applied for a waiver to have the 40 minute limit removed for educational purposes. Should this limit be lifted we will have this as an option in addition to Google Meet.
Google has a communication platform called "Google Meet" (formerly know as Google Hangouts) which is very similar to Zoom and part of the Google Suite of options for our district to use. We will have this platform available this fall for staff to use with students, providing a second video communication tool.

For parents who would like to interact with a trainer virtually...
We will be offering virtual trainings with a PC Staff member via Zoom or Google Meet to help parents prepare for Remote Learning this fall. We plan for sessions to feature one program and last only 15 - 30 minutes. The form below will allow you to register for upcoming sessions. There is also a box for suggestions for other training that we may not have established yet. The district will be asking staff to limit platforms for more consistent communication and instruction.
We hope to "see" you soon!
