Hello, Castle View Families:
I wanted to thank you for your support and flexibility during testing this week-- I know how disruptive and difficult it can be to navigate multiple different schedules, and I appreciate you all working through those twists and turns and supporting your kids in doing their best.
Please note that Monday and Tuesday next week, we will be on an Extended Advisement Schedule. It's pictured below!
I hope you have a safe and happy weekend and stay warm in this spring snowstorm. And as always, thank you for sharing your kids with us; it is our honor to serve them.

Class of 2023 Graduate Parade Info!
We are excited to announce the 4th Annual Castle View Sabercats’ Graduate Parade throughout The Meadows neighborhoods on Saturday, May 13th, at 11:00am! This is not an official CVHS event. It was lovingly planned by CV parents who want to celebrate the 2023 Graduates and let the community acknowledge all their hard work!
Link to Meadows Community FB event:
https://fb.me/e/3z3BkQwH9?mibextid=RQdjqZ
DETAILS/GUIDELINES: These are recommended details and guidelines to ensure our event goes smoothly, without incident.
- Please decorate your cars BEFORE arriving at CV. Consider writing your graduate’s name on the side as well as their next chapter (i.e. name of college, major, gap year, trade school, Air Force). Get creative! Balloons/streamers can be applied once you arrive at CVHS.
- Parents, please chauffeur your graduate so that your student can REALLY participate in the parade and we can get great pictures! Hoping to acquire some photographers to capture parade moments at the corner of Tanglevine & Morningview. We want to see students waving out the windows/sunroof and not worrying about navigating the parade route or rear-ending the car in front of them! Play some fun music as you cruise!
- Graduates, we’d love to see you in your CV colors! Some families from last year were able to acquire caps/gowns on FB Marketplace.
- Please begin lining up in the car queue at 10:30am. In an effort to keep the queue line organized, enter the student (back) parking lot via N. Meadows Drive (west end). There will be volunteers to direct you…please let them do their jobs. Please DO NOT enter the student lot via Sabercat Way (by ACC Extension).
- Upon arrival in the car queue, please stay near or in your car.
- Along the parade route, please drive in the far right lane and follow normal traffic laws (speed limits, signals & stop signs). Consider using your hazards.
If you plan to utilize trailers/boats, please note: Do not climb around while vehicle is in motion. Per CRPD: Unsafe usage of these vehicles may result in removal from parade or citation by local authorities
PARADE ROUTE: The parade will leave CVHS’s main entrance/exit at 11:00am and begin down Butterfield Crossing… past Meadow View Elementary.
From Butterfield Crossing, turn RIGHT onto Meadows Blvd
RIGHT onto Cherokee Drive
LEFT onto Foothills Drive
RIGHT onto Tanglevine Drive (pass Soaring Hawk Elementary)
LEFT onto Morning View Drive
RIGHT onto Foothills Drive (pass Clear Sky Elementary)
LEFT onto Coachline Road
LEFT onto Meadows Parkway
Continue past The Grange & Paintbrush Park
The parade officially ENDS at the intersection of Meadows Blvd & N. Meadows Drive (near CRMS) but in the past, many parade cars gather in the back lot of CVHS. This is the conclusion of the parent-organized parade.
PLEASE NOTE: A few CV parents have planned the parade caravan route and are not responsible for incidents before, during, or after the conclusion of the parade (including any Post-Parade gatherings). CRPD and CRFD are aware of our event and will be involved again this year, keeping traffic flowing, etc. This is not an official Castle View High School event.
