What is Copyright?
Copyright is the exclusive legal right given to the creator of music, a picture, etc that can authorize others to do copy their work.
Types of Licenses
Public Domain
Is not protected by copyright and only follows one of the conditions:
- The copyright has expired
- The work was created using public money
- The creator donated the work into the public domain
Freeware
Copyrighted that you can copy, use or give away for free.
Shareware
Copyrighted work that you can share, copy and use for free. You can use it for a limited time. Pay a fee for full program.
All Rights Reserved
Only allows the purchaser to use the software according to the details spelled out in the license agreement.
Open Source
A software that includes the source code with the idea that someone can improve it.
