At Noddin and USD, our priority and focus is for our kids to have fun at school, grow, and learn in a safe and healthy environment.
Please read over the information carefully and never hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up
At this time, parents, guardians, and community members cannot access the campus, including the first day(s) of school. Rest assured Noddin has a plan in place to make sure students feel safe, welcome, and get to their class, which includes approximately 12 staff members helping them find their way.
Drop-Off (Grades Kindergarten - 5th)
Drop-off is from 7:50am - 8am and school starts at 8:05am. There are several ways for your student(s) to come to school.
Walking - If your child or family are able, please consider walking as it helps ease car traffic.
- Please obey all pedestrian laws and use the crosswalks.
Driving and parking nearby - Parking near the school and walking from that location.
- Do not temporarily stop on the street, drop students off in the street, stop or park in red zones, or make illegal U-turns in the intersections! This is dangerous for all involved.
Drop-off at the school - Driving through the Noddin parking lot and to the drop-off/pick-up zone.
If dropping off using the drop-off/pick-up zone:
- Pull all the way forward regardless of what grade your student is in or which gate you want them to access.
- Do not stop in the red fire zone near the Kindergarten area.
- Driver remains in the car the entire time.
- Students exit on the passenger (or curb) side of the car.
- Students are ready to exit the vehicle.
There will be staff and/or 5th grade students on hand to get your student onto the campus. Rest assured we will get them to where they need to go using the closest gate.
Dismissal is 11:25am from August 11 - September 24 (daily) and 1:30pm from September 27 onward (except Wednesdays, which is 1:05pm).
1st - 5th
Dismissal is 2:30pm every day except Wednesdays (1:05pm). Please pick your student up at or within 10 minutes of the dismissal time. Supervision ends after 10 minutes. Students who are not picked up will be escorted to the office and we will call the parent or guardian.
You can pick up your student at the gates, using the drop-off/pick-up zone, or another pre-designated spot off campus that your student walks to meet you. Students are allowed to walk home, though we don't encourage this practice below 4th grade, especially if alone.
Primary Side (PreK-2nd) Gates - Front Gate, Parking Lot near Kinder, Harwood @ Clovis,
Intermediate Side (3rd - 5th) Gates - Front Gate, Gilda near Cafeteria, Harlow Way
This visual shows the location of the student accessible gates around the school. Students may enter from any gate, but choosing by grade-level/teacher is ideal for all.
This map shows the location of the classroom #s, teachers, and their grade-level and can also help orient you to certain entry and exit points (i.e. student gates).
These are "suggested donations" and are not required. Families may also donate more than 1 quantity of an item. Also, do not feel the need to have everything on August 11. The teachers and the school will make sure students have what they need.
This FAQ covers a list of frequently asked questions we've received regarding health and safety, COVID protocols, and more. These will change as we receive further guidance throughout the year from public health agencies and as conditions change.

This school year, recess snack and hot lunch is provided to all students free of charge. It helps to let your teacher know if you intend to get these on a regular basis. Students simply pick up their food from the cafeteria, then go outdoors to eat.
