Weekly Message
Thank you staff for completing the first week of the 2nd 9wks and welcome to a new week! We had half of our student enrollment on campus this past week and it is great to see your attentiveness and support that you provide to our kids! We currently have 667 students enrolled and approximately 290 students on campus at this time. Our first round of report cards is available to our families through the Home Access Center (HAC). Continue to communicate with our families about our students' progress and also celebrate your class' work!
Have an outstanding week of teaching and learning! Have an Evers strong week!

The 411 on Schoology Test/Quiz feature and assessments
It's been rumored that the Test/Quiz feature of Schoology is going away. We reached out to our contacts at Schoology to find answers and provide you the resources and support you need to be successful in the LMS. Here's what we found.
1. Is the Test/Quiz feature going away? Yes, but not for the foreseeable future. Test/Quiz will eventually be phased out, but Schoology will provide months of notice before this takes place. At this time there is no scheduled date for the phase-out to begin.
2. Will I be able to convert all of the Test/Quiz items I've created? Yes, all Test/Quiz items can be converted to Assessments. We will provide instructions on how to convert these items when the phase-out process begins.
3. I use Examview Pro in Test/Quiz. It won't work in Assessments, so what do I do? There is an easy way to upload an Examview Pro test and convert it to a Schoology Assessment. Here's a brief video to show you the steps - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUHJFS9uZ9M
4. So which feature should I use, Test/Quiz or Assessments? You are welcome to use either feature. We will keep you posted as soon as we hear an established date for the Test/Quiz phase-out to begin.
5. So how do I learn more about Schoology Assessments? We have several courses in the coming weeks that can help you learn how to create Assessment items in Schoology. These short, one hour courses will cover the 18 different question types Schoology Assessments has to offer. Click here to view our Fall Teacher Choice Opportunities!

Operational Reminders-COVID19
- Thank you teachers for reminding your students about the following:
-Washing their hands
-Staying 6ft apart
-Wearing masks
We will continue to implement this and the admin team will continue to assess and tweak operational items as needed.
- In addition, Nurse Christine will also continue to email teachers if a student from your class will need to be sent home when necessary. The attachment below is also given to parents. Please take a few minutes to review. This was also sent to all Evers families this weekend. For any further questions, please contact Talia/Liz/Nurse Christine.
- Due to student confidentiality guidelines, the admin team or Nurse Christine will not be able to provide you with further details about student or staff health conditions. Staff needing to be informed about COVID exposure will be contacted by the admin team/school nurse. Nurse Christine consults on a regular basis with our district's health services director's office and she will consult with Metro Health when a positive COVID case is reported. During last week's positive case, Metro Health guided our nurse with contact tracing and with the next steps our campus needed to take.
- We have received additional updates from the district about our district playbook. The admin team and Nurse Christine will be reviewing and we will be sharing these updates once we determine the changes/tweaking that needs to take place at our campus.
- COMING SOON: We will be updating our lunch schedule again in order to continue to support the cleaning and social distancing of our students. We will email staff when this will take into effect.
- Thank you everyone for keeping up with our changes and for adjusting your schedules as needed.
