Essentials of Developing a Welcoming Sport Environment #2
Thursday, Sep. 21st, 7pm
This is an online event.
Developing a safe, welcoming, and productive culture is a complex issue. While clear policies and procedures are important, expressing organizational values and establishing expectations for the behaviour of athletes, coaches, officials, and supporters, culture is much more than written standards - it is how things are done.
Hosted by Ontario Cycling with Guest Speakers Will Russell and Kristin Noonan of Sport Law, Session 2 will provide tangible tips and resources for activating safe sport on the ground, focusing on what you can do to help ensure a positive and safe environment.

7 Days - Cycling for Survival
7 Days is an epic cycling event with participants riding 1,100 km to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research – and having a lot of fun in the process! Founded by Gord Townley and his family after the loss of his mother, Lorraine, this legacy fundraising event has driven a decade of incredible achievements. The total amount raised from the 2023 in-person and virtual rides exceeded a whopping $180,000, bringing the lifetime grand total to over $1.6 million.
“The camaraderie, the passion, the joy, the fundraising, the stories… all of those things happen at 7 Days. But, more importantly, this dedicated group of cyclists and donors create real change for people facing pancreatic cancer.” Michelle Capobianco, Chief Executive Officer, Pancreatic Cancer Canada.
The 13th edition of 7 Days will take place in May 2024. Pre-registration opens in November 2023. For more information or to support the ride, please visit 7Days website
