PASCP Weekly News and Info
Week of November 4 - 8
Communities of Practice Resources
These are just resources for your optional review, but they may help when designing how your group works and functions as a productive PLC group.
As you continue to research what method or model you will hold your meetings under, here are a couple of evidence-based practices that might help:
Communities of Practice - Everything you need to know (Gonclaves, L. 2019)
Innovative Learning - (Lave and Wenger, 1998)
Community of Practice Design Guide (Wegner and McDermott, 2002)
EDA 633 - Last class November 16
Fieldwork Class Session 3 - this was work time provided to you to get a little further in your CalAPA work. I will be giving everyone credit in this column of the grade book.
Signature assignment: One key element to note is that in addition to your cohesive accumulation of your reflective journal entries, to produce a fluid and thoughtful paper, you will need to locate a minimum of 3 outside sources to support some of your findings, discoveries and reflections of the content of this course.
Please also note that you will need to write your paper using APA format - description and details are found in the Canvas Course where the Signature Assignment is displayed.
The Signature Assignment is due no later than November 30, 2019.
Also, at this point, I am fairly certain that I have my husband's pizza truck coming to serve lunch on our last day. Of course, scheduling issues do arise, but I will be able to confirm his "appearance" no later than November 13.
With this said, if you are a pizza person, please plan to have some lunch on me that day. Lunch will need to be pushed back to about 1:00 PM as the truck will be coming from a farmer's market. Once the truck arrives, it will take a few minutes to set up the buffet table. I will be certain to be mindful of breaks that morning, and the chance to have a snack with lunch being a little later. We will take no more than 45 minutes for lunch to mindful of our commitment to our end time.
