Principal's Corner
With our first 2 hour late start this week, it's a good reminder for all families to make sure you have your emergency contacts updated in the event of an early out. Since student's don't arrive at school until mid-morning when we're 2 hours late, breakfast is not offered. You'll want to make sure they grab something before they head out the door.
As a reminder, regular attendance is important for all students and required. If you're child isn't feeling well or they'll be unable to join us, please let our office know right away.
We have an exciting change in report cards this year. Check out the note below to learn more.

Report Cards
You'll notice a difference in how this year's report card looks. We are working to better inform parents about how students are performing on specific tasks that are most important for students to know in each subject area. We'll measure student learning with either exceeding, meeting, partially meeting or not meeting standards. We expect students to meet standards, however, when they go above and beyond in a couple areas, students might exceed standards or they may not quite have mastered the skill yet, so they may partially meet standards. Our goal is for this to help all of us clarify exactly what students know and where they have work to do.
If your student traditionally has an A in all areas, don't be surprised if their report card shows that they're meeting standards. That's what's expected.
If you have questions once you receive your child's report card, feel free to call your child's teacher or reach out to Mrs. Suchy. You can reach her at 320-239-4800 or ssuchy@isd2149.org.

Morning Drop Off
Students need to be dropped off at the front doors at MAES, not walking through the parking lot unassisted. Unfortunately our parking lot is full of traffic and with the potential of dark, slippery mornings, it can be concerning with kids walking all around.
PTA Pipeline
There are many opportunities to either Chair or volunteer for an upcoming event. Please consider joining us! You're help is needed.
