THE SAGINAW CAREER COMPLEX
Hands-On Learning for Juniors & Seniors
The Saginaw Career Complex is the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center for Saginaw County. More than 600 high school juniors and seniors attend for half of their school day, and are making a daily investment in their future careers.
Each of the programs offered at SCC link learning with earning by teaching skills that help prepare students for college, advanced technical training or skilled entry-level work. In addition to learning in real world, technology-rich labs, students can earn industry certifications that give them a head start in preparing for high-skill, high-wage careers.

Requirements to attend SCC:
- Students must be in good academic standing and on track to graduate
- Students must have a minimum of: 11.5 credits for sophomores; 18.5 credits for juniors earned by the end of the 2nd trimester of the current school year
- Very good attendance record
- SCC program choice should match up with EDP on file.
How do students register for the Saginaw Career Complex?
Sophomore students who are interested in attending SCC as a Junior are encouraged to attend the SCC 10th Grade Career Day on Wednesday, February 2nd.
- To attend the Career Day at SCC on February 2nd, sophomores need to turn in a permission slip to Mrs. Volk by January 21st. Permission slips are available in Mrs. Volk's office.
- Interested students who would like to apply to SCC will have to complete an application that will be available in Mrs. Volk's office.
