Coolidge Welcomes Cooper
We are excited to announce that our school will be on the visiting rotation for Cooper, the new Livonia Police Department’s therapy dog.
Cooper, along with his handler, Sgt. Stacy Hayne, will visit in a specified area of the school. He is a sweet, 6-month-old Goldendoodle who has been trained and certified to provide comfort and surely lots of love!
We are grateful for this partnership with the Livonia Police Department, as we pilot the idea to have therapy dogs more frequently available in our schools.
If your student has allergies or other concerns, please know that they are not required to visit Cooper. Please contact your child's teacher regarding any allergies or concerns. Your child's teacher will make alternate arrangements. This is being provided, at this time, as a community service by the LPD and we are excited to welcome our new friend into our schools to provide brief respite for our students and staff during the school day.

OUTSIDE FOR RECESS
Children will be going outdoors for recess when the temperature and wind chill combine for 15 degrees or above.
Recess is 25 minutes in duration, so children should be dressed for remaining outdoors for that length of time.
Boots are required during inclement weather or the student will only be able to play on the blacktop area of the playground during outdoor recess when we have snowy or slushy conditions. Warm coats, gloves/mittens, hats and scarves should be worn during cold weather. Your cooperation in sending children to school dressed appropriately is greatly appreciated.
COOLIDGE YEARBOOK
Order your yearbooks today!
Yearbooks start at $15 with many package options available. Ordering is open until April, with yearbooks being delivered to Coolidge in June.
