Happy Friday Sayre Family!

We hope everyone had a peaceful and calm Spring Break and got to enjoy some of the good weather we got. As we launched into our Online Learning this week, teachers and students alike have been excited to get connected with their students, albeit in a much different setting. Thank you for helping us execute a safe and seamless technology device distribution this week. We have many of our students logged on and engaging in continuous learning. Once again, please fill out the form if your child does not have consistent access to a technological device. Many companies are also offering free internet services. Staying Sayre Strong during Online Learning

Dear Sayre Parents and Guardians,

Please join us in ensuring that all Sayre students engage in online learning this week and the weeks to come. As the district provides clarity around grades, it is important that we work together in support of our students. Beyond letter grades, a student's work with online assignments informs how they are making progress towards grade-level standards an will inform levels of support once school resume.

To that end, all online assignments are a requirement. Per the Illinois State Board (ISBE) and district guidelines, grades will be given in the 3rd and 4th quarters. While grades will not harm a student's score, students will receive feedback on their work and will inform how the teacher shapes their instruction.

Student Expectations (were applicable)

Engage in learning (either online or via paper copy) and complete eALL assignments provided by the teacher and communicate with teachers via the designated online learning platform (Google classroom in most cases)

Utilize their teachers' virtual office hours and /or live lessons as a way to communicate with teachers.

Each week, Sayre staff will be following up with families and students who show low levels (less than 3 ) of online learning participation. We want every student to succeed and to feel ready for school when we resume. We look forward to a strong parent-school partnership.

Technology Survey

If you haven't had the opportunity to do so, please fill out the following form if your child is in need of a technology device to engage in Online Learning.
