Federal Impact Aid Cards
Impact Aid cards will be sent home on Tuesday, November 13. All Impact Aid cards need to be returned by Friday, November 16.
Parking/Student Drop and Pick Up
Morning and afternoon traffic is working great thus far! Please ensure that you go with traffic and through the front or side traffic patterns as setup with cones. Do not attempt to cut in front of other students or vehicles as we try to ensure safety on the campus. Please be patient!!!
Handicap Parking is only to be utilized by vehicles with proper placard. Do not park in these spots without your placard.
ALL VEHICLES MUST FOLLOW TRAFFIC PATTERN. Please do not move, or drive through, any cones or barriers and stay off all grassy areas.
Senior News
- Seniors, if you are interested in attending East Carolina University, an admissions representative will be on campus on November 30th during PowerHour. She will be located in the cafeteria.
- Attention seniors...The senior quote form has been emailed to you! Quotes are due by November 13th.
- Attention early grad seniors taking the WorkKeys test December 3rd-5th. Please remember you have WorkKeys prep every Tuesday and Thursday throughout November during Block A or B of PowerHour in room 201 to help you prepare!
AVID News
- Welcome AVID Tutors!! Andrea Bissette, Judy Gabaldon, Alicia Lacey, and Angela McKay
- Each Monday and Wednesday, AVID students will be participating in Tutorials.
- What are Tutorials? Under supervision of an AVID teacher, AVID-trained tutors facilitate the student led discussions at each group to help students find the answer to a question, problem, project, and any other school-work related point of confusion they may have.
Announcements
- The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics will be holding a presentation at Jacksonville High School on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. Mr. Andrew Huggins, admissions counselor will be on hand.
- Attention juniors! Each year, Rotary sponsors The Youth Leadership Awards and transportation to and from this event will be covered by the Richlands Rotary Club. At least two juniors will be selected. You can pick up an application from the folder outside room 204 or see Mr. Fuller (204). The deadline for applications is December 4th.
- Attention ALL JUNIORS!! Just a reminder that you have ACT Prep during Block A of PowerHour every Thursday until you take the ACT in March.
- New Beta Club members need to turn in their fee and form to Mrs. Marriott in room 312 by Friday, November 16.
- Sophomores, juniors and seniors...GREAT NEWS...the ASVAB test will be given at RHS on Thursday, December 6 beginning at 3 p.m. This test is FREE but sign up is required! Please see Mrs. Jarman in the 200 hall to get your name on the list for this excellent opportunity.
