Annexation of Texas May Cause War

The significance of the annexation of Texas to the U.S. are that they are for one closer to the manifest destiny, slavery, and war with Mexico. From the view point of the american, the annexation brings them closer to the manifest destiny. They also were now closer to getting california and all of the states in betweeen. From the view point of the Free Black Texan, the mainifest destiny could be a cause of more slavery. He aslo thinks its wrong becuause former slaves will lose rights that they were promised. From the view point of the Anglo Texan the annexation might anger Mexico and cause war. Also from the view point of an American mexico doesn't recognize Texas as a state and that may cause war as well.
