How Did I Get The 4 Equations For All The Companys? (2 Food, 2 Activity)
Part A (Food)
What I did to create/figure out to have an equation was how I had to see how the number of people (students) would be multiplied by 10 for the price for each person plus the initial fee of $20 (just one) giving me the equation of y (the price total) equals 10 times the amount of people (x) plus 20 (the fee) giving me the equation of y=10x+20 for the Burger Bonanza. Then for the Pizza Palace what I did to create/figure out to have an equation I would mostly do the same thing as I determined the Burger Bonanza by having the number of people (students) being multiplied by 9.25 for the price for each person plus the initial fee of $61.25 (just once) giving me the equation of y (the price total) equals 9.25 multiplied by the amount of people (x) plus 61.25 (the fee) giving me the equation of y=9.25x+61.25.
Part B (Activity)
What I did to create/figure out to have an equation was I would see how the price of $75 would be multiplied by the number of hours in/of time, giving me the y= the $ per hour equals the $75 per hour the (x) the number of hours to get the equation y=75x for the Hoppin Around Bounce House Company. Then what I did to create/figure out to have a equation for the Jumpin Jacks Bounce House Company was to see/have the price of $54 being multiplied by the number of hours plus the set up/removal fee of $84 once (just). Then giving me y= (the $ per hour) equals the $54 per hour times the (x) the number of hours plus the $84 (the fee) which gives me the equation y=54x+84.
Proposed Plan
Part A Food: I chose the Pizza Palace Company for the food place to be so the people could serve the 8th graders at the end of the year for the party because first it is a better deal just by looking at the chart (data table) and graph seeing that even though it has a one (1) time huge fee of $61.25, it cost $9.25 per person for pizza instead of $10 for burgers and the 8th graders will probably think/agree that pizza will be the better thing than burgers in this awesome occasion!
Part B Activity: I chose the Jumpin’ Jacks Company to be the (activity/bounce house) the people who will set up the bounce house and remove it for $84 and even though that may be a lot of money (only the one-time fee) $54 is worth it for the price each hour instead of $75 in Hoppin’ Around. This bounce house should workout great and be the best and show that this company will not let down the 8th graders to have enjoyable fun entertainment for/of the party!
Data Table/Chart
Part A (Food)
Burger Bonanza: People is (x) price is (y) x=0 y=0 x=50 y=520 x=100 y=1,020 x=150 y=1,520
x=200 y=2,020 x=250 y=2,520
Pizza Palace: People is (x) price is (y) x=0 y=0 x=50 y=523.75 x=100 y=986.25 x=150 y=1,448.75 x=200 y=1,911.25 x=250 y=2,373.75
Part B (Activity) (Bounce House)
Jumpin' Jack's: Hours is (x) $ Per Hour is (y) x=0 y=0 x=2 y=192 x=4 y=300 x=6 y=408 x=8 y=516 x=10 y=624
Hoppin' Around: Hours is (x) $ Per Hour is (y) x=0 y=0 x=2 y=150 x=4 y=300 x=6 y=450 x=8 y=600 x=10 y=750
