HHS Tech Tidbits #1
Technology Tools and Tips - May 2016
Technology in the classroom
Technology is beginning to play a larger part in education and as teachers, we are going to be expected to use more than just the projector in the classroom. The HHS Tech Tidbits will have information regarding tech tools that you can implement in your classroom along with tips on how to use these tools.
As your campus tech, I am available to help you learn about technology tools or to help you create assignments using technology tools. Feel free to send me an email or give me a call to request more information or a meeting. Tech Tool Request Form I am also available some days during the summer. Let me know when your curriculum writing days are and I would be happy to meet with your team to discuss technology use in the classroom.
You can also find helpful information on my website, HHS Campus Tech. I have a wide variety of items posted.

End of the Year Procedures
As we approach the end of the year:
- You will be asked to take inventory of your computers... this includes all computers in your classroom.
- You will also be asked to unplug computers for summer storage. It is a good idea to label your cords, for a quick reminder when you come back in August.
- If your computer is slow, submit a work order to have it reimaged. You will need to have all items saved to your h-drive and make a list of any programs that need to be reinstalled.
- Please remember to remove batteries from remotes and pens while in storage.
Technology Training Opportunities
There is an Area 7 TCEA Technology Conference on June 10, 2016 in White Oak, Texas. It is a great way to learn and/or share information. The sessions are usually led by teachers, librarians, or technology specialists in East Texas school districts. This year's keynote speaker is Zac Chase, author of Building School 2.0.
