Mariner Update Parent Edition
Volume 12 Issue 14
Message to families
In working in partnership with the school and your student, it is important when parents are involved in their child’s education. That’s why attending parent-teacher conferences is so important: it’s a great way for parents to become involved and stay involved throughout the school year. Parent-Teacher conferences are a good way to speak with your child’s teacher about academic performance. , ask questions, or for you to share important information about your child . If you have questions or observations, the conference is a good time to share them with the teacher. Don’t forget to share what you know about your child. Your information helps the teacher better understand and teach your child. If you know what is expected in the classroom, you can more easily address any issue that comes up as your child moves through the school year. Additionally, I would like to wish you all a safe, healthy, and a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Coming Soon: Campus Supervisor
We are happy to announce we are moving forward with hiring a campus supervisor. A few of the responsibilities will include patroling and monitoring the campus and adjacent areas, including: lunch areas, hallways, walkways, classrooms, playgrounds, restrooms and parking lots, etc.; maintain order and safety of campus; defusing potentially volatile situations; know and identify harassment and bullying issues and intervene to assist in resolving. To easily identify the campus supervisor, they will wear a prescribed uniform. The goal of adding the campus supervisor will help to increase the safety on our campus for our students.
