All things Ferris HS during the Closure!

Ferris ISD Closure Extended to May 3rd

Hello,

Today we received an update from Governor Abbott about school closures. Per his order, all Texas schools will remain closed until May 3rd. At that time, we will again evaluate the current climate.

While I know this is challenging for us all, it is important we do all we can to keep our families and those at high risk safe. If you have family with medical conditions that would make the diagnosis of COVID-19 an extreme challenge, be sure to use technology tools to check in and keep your distance. It is important we do what we can to support our community. If you have neighbors who should not be out support them by picking up groceries, call those you can't see and talk to them about the good things in your life, and most of all remember to take time to care for YOU.

We so miss having our students with us. I miss the small things like morning ID checks, lunch duty, and seeing our students build friendships and memories at all our campus events. I know this is hard on us all, but the resilience we show now will be the thing we cherish later.

Keep yourself safe, follow the CDC guidelines, and share love. The last being the most important. We are all here to serve you in anyway we can.

Sincerely,

Andru Gilbert
