Principally Speaking

We had another great week at DCMS! Next week marks the beginning of October, and the end of the 9 weeks is upon us. Ready or not, fall break will be here before we know it!

With that in mind, please talk with your student and checking the IC parent portal to be sure he or she is keeping up with assignments. It is very important that students are completing the practice work the teachers assign it whether it takes place in class or at home. Student grades are based primarily on student performance on assessments. The only way for students to perform well on assessments is to practice and fully engage with the practice activities that the teachers provide.

Thank you for all you do to support our students and our school.

Sincerely,

Marsha Webster

Parent-Teacher Conferences - November 1 & November 8

Parent-Teacher conferences will take place on the evenings of November 1 and November 8. As those dates approach more closely, you will be contacted with an opportunity to sign up for a time slot with your child's teachers. Parents do not need to attend both nights. We are simply offering two evenings so that parents have options within their schedules. We encourage all parents to meet with at least one teacher.
