We Are A Community of Readers
The Reading Celebration Picnic Was a Success!
This past week we celebrated our love of reading and friendship at our "Community of Readers" picnic! (It was a hot one!) Students enjoyed their time outside as well as a visit from Ocean County Sheriff Department's Sgt. David Deleeuw and his drone!
As of today, we have read 6,425 books! We want to keep up the momentum by encouraging our Proud Patriot students and families to keep reading and logging their books! To help keep our students motivated to continue reading and logging, the PTO has graciously agreed to provide ice pops at the year’s end to celebrate their commitment to growing as readers! So KEEP READING!! (Let's see how many books we can read by June 22nd!)

June Enrichment Activities Calendar
Can You Believe It's June Already?!
Here is the link to the calendar to access our last month of enrichment activities. I want to give a HUGE thank you to our special area teachers for creating opportunities to encourage student agency. When students have choices in their learning, they become more invested in achieving and enjoy learning more!
Just a reminder, if students choose to attend an enrichment class, be sure to attend only at a time that is not previously scheduled with a classroom teacher, ESL teacher, basic skills teacher, G/T teacher or resource room teacher.
