FLOW CHARTS & SUBROUTINES

THE EASY GUIDE

What is a Flow chart

  • Flow chart: A diagram of the sequence of operations in a computer program.
  • Is often referred to as the basic computer programming.
  • Displays what the computer is thinking.

What flow charts a basically used for?

These examples aren't as basic as it seems, though they do follow the same principle:

  • Lighthouses
  • Traffic lights
  • Self-service checkouts
  • Self-service pay machines
  • Tills
  • etc

SUBROUTINES (What is it?)

  • A subroutine is a change in a computer program's normal routine.
  • Below is a example of a complex subroutine in a simulation, the conditions of the test changed; the simulated enemy's shields were offline.
