Women's & Gender Studies @ Rowan University
The Women’s & Gender Studies concentration at Rowan University offers an interdisciplinary curriculum that addresses the social, cultural, political, and historical contexts within which women’s lives and identities are produced. Moreover, the courses consider the meaning of gender, gender norms and roles, gender identity, and sexuality. The program also introduces students to the concept that gender intersects with other forms of identity, such as race and class, to structure women’s opportunities, interactions, and social location.
