The followers of Islam are called Muslims

"Islam" means "Peace through the submission to God. "Muslim" means "anyone or anything that submits itself to the will of God". They believe in the god Abraham, they have a holy book called Koran. The five pillars is one of there traditions. They pray five times a day and they wash there nose, hair, they don't eat all day, and they wash there hands as well. Muslims believe in and acknowledge all the prophets of old, from Adam to Jesus. Muslims believe that they brought the message of peace and submission (islam) to different peoples at different times. Muslims also believe that these prophets were "muslims" because they submitted their wills to God. Muslim women wear the head-covering (hijab) in fulfillment of God's decree to dress modestly. From a practical standpoint, it serves to identify one as attempting to follow God in daily life and, therefore, protects women from unwanted advances from men. This type of modest dress has been worn by righteous women throughout history. Prominent examples are traditional Catholic Nuns, Mother Teresa and the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus.. Mosque is a very important place for a Muslim that's were they go to worship that is there place of worship they also celebrate the day of yom kippur they act sorry its the one day you can act like a angel and only eat one time a day there sects are Sunni, sh iii. They don't have any paintings or sculptures in the mosque because it is a sin and they use geometric lines and when they pray they pray towards mecca they usually use a horn from a goat to call and when you hear the call the five pillars start. The three compulsory ones are Tawheed that is accepting that Allah is one and Prophet is his messenger. Second is Salat that is offering of prayers five times in a day. Third pillar is of Ramadan that is fasting from sunrise to sunset in the holy month of Ramadan. These three things are essentials and are to be fulfilled by everyone. The 2 situational ones are performing Hajj at least ones in lifetime and paying zakat. These depend on the person’s financial state and therefore are situational. If the person falls in the category then it is a compulsion for him to do Hajj and pay zakat. Islam has made living very easy for its believers as they simply have to follow the guidelines that have been stated for them.Islam is one of the most talked and followed religions in the world in today’s world
