The JAMM Buzz
September Edition - twenty twenty
WELCOME BACK JAMM FAM
As we embark on Our 15th Season of JAMMing, I continue to be amazed at the growth of the studio, the dancers and staff. I feel so blessed to be around such amazing and talented people every week for nine months out of the year! A huge thank you goes out to all of our staff and loyal dance families for your support of the studio over the years. It is in large part because of our staff for the magic that happens in the studio walls and for all the wonderful things our dance families say about us outside of them. I am pleased to share that many of our classes we have offered this season have reached their capacity. Thank you again for trusting us to guide your children on their dance journey. We accept this role with great responsibility as we strive to give the kids the best for their minds, bodies and souls. We do not take this honor for granted and we look forward to a great year!
EVERY DANCER, EVERY CLASS
As we prepare the space for the dancers to arrive next week we are so excited to once again offer you the very best dance education experience. Every dancer, in every class is important to JAMM. We are always available to discuss your dancer's progress and we look forward to connecting with each of the JAMM parents throughout the season as we help guide your amazing kids toward their goals.
GOALS FOR THE JAMM FACULTY 2020
1. Keep them safe
2. Lower their anxiety about the current situation.
3. Make them laugh
4. Make them feel loved
5. Give them opportunities for team building, social and human connection.
6. Teach them dance steps
All in that order
HOW WILL COVID EFFECT RECITAL AND COMPETITION PLANNING
At this time JAMM is moving forward with our season to the best of our ability. We want to make sure our families have costumes and a recital venue and most of what we do takes months in advance to prepare. Therefore, if we don't make these preparations we may not have costumes in time or a recital venue, etc. While we wish we could guarantee our clients that everything will be as normal, we are not able to do that at this time. We will continue to be mindful of the situation not only for our dancers, faculty and parents safety but also for your investment of costumes, competition fees, time. etc. JAMM will keep communication open with parents and staff regarding any information or changes due to COVID-19.
QUESTIONS? HOW WE ARE DOING ?
We are here to help and we welcome questions and feedback. Our guest service staff is available during all teaching hours to assist you. We also have a staff directory below so you can reach out to the staff directly as well.
Have a wonderful year JAMM!
Fondly,
Ms. Angie

Click on the sign up genius below to sign up for convention opportunities.
COMPANIE PRODUCTION
At this time we are still in the process of figuring out if we will be permitted to have this large amount of dancers on stage at one time. Currently we are limited to the number of dancers we are able to have in rehearsal at one time. Therefore, this rehearsal will be put on hold until we know when we are able to hold rehearsals with all dancers or in groups until we can safely come together. Right now we have the rehearsals blocked out for Saturdays and we will begin those as we know more. We are hoping to utilize the costumes from last year's production for this year's dance. If you are new to the studio and in this production we will be working with the designer to get you a replica of last years look so you match your group. We will be using many of the sections from last year's production and re-imagining this piece to make it fun and new for everyone! Stay tuned and we really appreciate your patience. Any fees paid for this routine will be fully refunded if we are not able to hold a production.
MUSICAL THEATER LINES (Jr. Teen and Sr.)
We have noted December 4-6 on the calendar for all 3 groups for their choreography weekends for these routines. Please hold this entire weekend open until specific rehearsal times for each group have been determined.
*Jr and Teen will need an additional weekend to complete their choreography in addition to this December date and should plan to hold rehearsal Friday, December 4 and Sunday, December 6.
Thank you for your patience as we know more we will be updating everyone. We will not be holding weekend rehearsals for theses pieces until the choreography has been set on them.
