The 2018-2019 Reflections Program is now accepting submissions. The Berea-Midpark Middle School PTA is looking for BMMS's most talented artists, dancers, musicians, writers, film makers, and photographers. Please view the submission form for the rules for the submission or contact Kristi Taraschke, BMMS Reflections Chair, 727-641-7564 or kltara@aol.com, for more information. All submissions can be returned to the BMMS PTA mailbox located in the main office. We look forward to seeing BMMS's finest works of art!

Washington D.C. trip
Each year thousands of students travel to Washington, D.C and visit Arlington National Cemetery to witness the Changing of the Guard at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. For many this event is the highlight of the entire trip. BMMS and BMHS has the distinct honor of nominating six students (4 participants and 2 alternates) travelling to Washington, D.C. to represent our district while laying a wreath on the tomb. The four participating students will earn the unique opportunity of interacting directly with the guards and taking part in the ceremony.
Interested students will be required to complete an essay detailing why they want to participate, what it would mean to them, and any personal interpretations of the patriotism, symbolism, and honor attached to this memorial ceremony. All submissions will be read by Berea City School staff members and the winners will be announced at the Roommate Meeting on Friday, February 15th. Students participating in this essay contest should also be aware that grades, behavior in school, and other factors may be used to determine the winners.
We strongly encourage traveling students to take part in this “absolute once in a lifetime” opportunity and welcome any questions. This year’s trip to Washington, D.C is going to be amazing and this ceremony will be something that will be remembered for the rest of our students’ lives. Essay applications can be found outside Mr.Andrews’ room,165, or on the Google Trip site. Please submit this essay to Mr. Andrews by no later than Friday, December 21st to be considered.
Morning Drop-Off
When dropping your child off at the 5th grade entrance and main entrance, please refrain from pulling around cars in line to drop students off. It is important, for safety reasons, for students to be dropped at the curb and for cars to wait in the drop off line. We appreciate your cooperation in our attempts to keep our students safe.
Photo Sharing for the Yearbook
We're well into the school year and our yearbook staff is working hard to create the first edition of The Berea-Midpark Middle School Titan Tablet Yearbook. I know many of you are taking photos in the classrooms and at different events you attend. We'd love it if you would share some of those photos with us. We have set up a "community photo sharing" site online where you can easily upload photos for us to consider using in the yearbook.
What are we looking for?
- student (and teachers) working in classrooms
- special projects and activities
- field trips
- Camp Mi-Bro-Be
- rallies
- dances
- sporting contests
- club and group photos during meetings and events
- Fox 8 Cool School event on 12/5/18
- any school-related event
Basically, if there's a student in it, we'll look at it for use in the yearbook!
Here's the link to upload your photos: https://commpe.pictavo.com
This site works best if accessed with the Google Chrome browser. Once you're at this site, either search for Berea-Midpark Middle School (state: OH, city: Middlebrg Hts; school: Berea-Midpark Middle School) OR just type our project # at the bottom: #77507. Either way will take you directly to our upload site. Once there, you will need to register ONE TIME as a member. Use your email address and a simple password. You'll log in with this same account each time you upload photos to us. Then, click on the blue UPLOAD PHOTOS bar on the left side. Select the photos you would like to upload and click OK. Your photos will magically appear in our photo inbox and we'll sort them for use from there. Please consider sharing your special events with us. THANK YOU, on behalf of the entire student staff of The Titan Tablet Yearbook!
