Bedminster Paw Print
The Bedminster Paw Print is an electronic student publication produced by our students under the direction of Mrs. Lorish and Mrs. Svanson. This after school club meets with different grade levels each month to allow our inspiring writers to publish pieces for all to enjoy. Great job Grade 5 students! The new 4th grade club begins today.
FITNESSGRAM - 4th & 5th Graders
Mrs. Zuccarini's Second Grade Class
Mrs. Petersen's First Grade Class
In Health class, Mrs. Petersen's class read a story called Howard B. Wigglebottom Learns About Sportsmanship and Listens to His Heart. As a follow up to the Health lesson, Mrs. Petersen and her class were able to skype with one of the authors of the series. The students interacted with the author through a story, dance, games, question asking and making their own book with the author. The students thoroughly enjoyed learning from the author. More information about the Howard B. Wigglebottom books can be found at the https://wedolisten.org/ website. Here students and parents can listen to the books and experience a variety of other activities.
Third grade Classes
Third grade honored Veterans Day by creating a Veterans Day Wall of Honor. Third graders honored family and friends who have served in the military or who are currently serving in the military by sending in pictures with written excerpts.
Mrs. Clemens' Kindergarten Class
Our Kindergarten students have been learning about the first Thanksgiving in class. We have gone on a virtual field trip where we were able to look at how the Pilgrims got to America. We have also used this opportunity to discuss how life was different long ago and today, as well as focus on the importance of kindness and friendship. We culminated our study with our own Thanksgiving Friendship Feast where the students were invited to come dressed as Pilgrims and Native Americans and talk about the things that they are Thankful for.
Mrs. White and Mrs. Kern's Third Grade Classes
Mrs. White and Mrs. Kern's classes created a writing piece on what it would be like if they were a Thanksgiving turkey. First, they read the stories Turkey Trouble and The Great Turkey Race. Afterwards, their classes discussed what a Thanksgiving turkey would feel and think. Then the students talked about what a Thanksgiving turkey might do and say based on how they felt and what they thought. From there, students created their writing pieces imagining that they were the Thanksgiving turkey. Students were very creative as they wrote about what a turkey would be going through at Thanksgiving.
5th Grade Leadership students
5th Grade Leadership students worked with Mrs. Svanson during parent-teacher conferences. The students demonstrated early learning strategies and greeted Bedminster families during the evening conferences. Thank you for volunteering!
