Math Update
Week of May 2nd
This Week in Math
We are in the final stretch of the school year as students take their Math SOL test this week. Students have been tracking their learning data throughout the year and have set learning goals based on the SGA test. I am so proud of the hard work and effort that students have put forth to reach their goals! It's also been awesome to see the creativity in their enrichment projects!
On Friday I was able to meet with almost every student so that they could set a goal for the SOL test and to talk about what it might take to reach that goal. I will meet with any remaining students on Monday. We'll also focus on test day strategies and play a fun review game to get ready for the big test!
Athough I want each student to meet his/her goal and do well on the SOL Test, I also know that they are so much more than this one test! They have grown in so many ways this year! They've become risk takers, problem solvers and critical thinkers. They have become more reflective learners and have grown more confident. I am so proud of their accomplishments!
