Diversity & Inclusion Recruiting Event – Win UGA – KY Football Tix!
The UGA Career Center is hosting a Diversity & Inclusion Recruiting event on Tuesday, Sept. 24th from 10:00-11:00 am, the morning of the Fall Career & Internship Fair. Register and attend to be entered into a drawing to win a pair of UGA – Kentucky football tickets!
This event will provide an atmosphere where you can connect with employers prior to participating in the career fair. Approximately 50 employers representing a variety of industries will be in attendance. This event is free and open to all UGA students and alumni.
Transportation will be provided from Memorial Hall to the Classic Center. Please indicate in your Handshake registration whether you will need transportation.

Calling All Graduates!
The Career Center is currently collecting employment data on all 2019 UGA graduates (August 2018, December 2018, May 2019). Complete the survey for a chance to win a prize valued at $500. Lead for America 2020 Fellowship
Lead for America's flagship program is the Lead for America Fellowship, which selects, trains, and places our nation’s most promising young leaders in two-year paid fellowships in local community organizations – such as local government, nonprofits, and community-based businesses – as a means of strengthening America’s public institutions, revitalizing our local communities, and cultivating a new generation of transformational community leaders.
Fellowships begin with a four week summer training institute in late June 2020, with fellowship placements starting August 2020.
Now Hiring - UGA Disability Resource Center
The Academic Assistant’s duties will involve providing assistance for the lab section, including being a reader for questions and problems related to the lab assignments. The Academic Assistant will need to read the questions sometimes multiple times. The Academic Assistant will also need to scribe answers as needed. The Academic Assistant will need to be available during every lab session as indicated on the syllabus.
GEOG 1112L is a lab intended to supplement the material covered during GEOG 1112 lectures. Throughout the semester, students will learn about basic meteorological concepts including radiation, atmospheric forces, mild-latitude cyclones, and weather map analysis. Students will also perform some basic meteorological calculations. Climatology concepts will also be discussed (from course syllabus).

Now Hiring - Northern Texas PGA
The Northern Texas PGA is seeking quality students to take part in our 13-week media internship program for the spring of 2020. We will hire approximately two media interns to assist with the Northern Texas PGA Section, Junior Tour and Foundation’s communications and media relation activities from January to mid-May. Experience or knowledge of golf is not a requirement to be eligible for a position, but is a positive.
The position is Dallas-based, and the hired applicants will need to relocate to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex for the spring months (January - May) if they do not already reside in the Metroplex.

We are seeking volunteers to join the Atlanta Group Enterprise Holdings' employees in the 49th Annual Atlanta Pride Festival Vendor Market held annually in Piedmont Park. Enterprise Holdings' involvement in this event is one of the many outreaches to support our Diversity and Inclusion efforts and we are thrilled to be a part of this for the third time. Many of our employees are a part of the LGBTQ community as well as family/friends, so this is a great way for us to show our company’s support.
We are looking for about 15-20 students to volunteer. We will have shifts available to choose from ranging about 3 hours each.

*This is open to all engineering students! We'll spend some time at the end discussing how ECE majors in particular can market their major to employers.

Arch Ready Express Workshop: How to Write a Memorable Personal Statement

- Understand the materials that are essential to bring to the career fair and why they are important
- Understand the logistics and expectations of the career fair.
- Identify resources to conduct employer research prior to attending the Career Fair

- Identify appropriate business professional attire to wear to career fairs

Life Sciences Industry Day 2019

Life Sciences Industry Day 2019 is a professional development event for graduate students in the life sciences and related fields. The program will feature speakers from career fields such as biotechnology, medical technology, science communication, biorisk management, intellectual property, regulatory affairs, consulting, and business development.
Registration is required for this event and registration fees apply ($25 for graduate students, $35 for UGA faculty, staff, and postdocs, $50 for non-UGA students and $75 for standard registration).
