Mrs. Bryant's Classroom Update

Hi All,

I hope you have had a wonderful start to November. We have been very busy preparing for Veteran's Day, celebrating birthdays, writing fictional stories, and beginning our study of matter in science. Please take a moment to read over all that is happening in class, and as always feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, and concerns.

Mrs. Bryant

Thank You

Thank you to all parents who have been so active in our classroom lately. I truly appreciate all who helped with our classroom party (the kids had a blast), those that we able to attend walking field trips, those that came to our Pastries with Parens, and finally those who attended conferences. Parent support is crucial to a successful school year, and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful group of parents in here.

We will be studying matter for the next two weeks in science. This week we will be doing some experiments where we observe different states of matter, chemical changes, and physical changes.

I am in the process of trying to re-vamp spelling. For the time being we will stick with the words and a test on Friday. My goal is to set-up more of a phonics based program where we can learn about phonics patters and apply them to a spelling test on Fridays. The goal is less memorization and more authentic spelling, this will hopefully set students up for stronger spelling skills in the future. The moment I am able to start this i will let you know specifics. With the Holidays fast approaching I`m trying not to make to many changes.

Please continue to use Moby Max at home. This is not required, but is a great way to practice and refresh skills when there is any extra time. Student rewards will be handed out at the end of November for Moby Max Progress!
