Spanish 3
May 9-15
Week 17
We only have 2 weeks left in our class!
For our last unit and the last 2 weeks of class, students need to attend an RLC for the Final Unit, take the Final Project Exam and create a Final Project. The Final Project must contain vocabulary and grammar from all the units, 2-8. (Unit 1 was a review of Spanish 2.) Click here for a detailed list of what students have been studying this semester to be included in their Final Project. In my announcements (Learning Blocks) this week I will be giving suggestions and ideas for the Final Project. Please encourage your student to read the announcements in order to help them prepare for the Final Project and Final Exam. The Final Exam and Final Project count as 25% of a student's final grade!
Here is our schedule for the last two weeks of class:
How are grades calculated?
Required Live Classes
Students have several opportunities to attend an RLC for the Final Unit this week and next week (although I recommend that students attend the FINAL RLC as soon as possible). Please get your student to look at the schedule and attend a live class as they will have interaction with the teacher and can ask questions. It will be more beneficial for students to attend an RLC this week for the Final Unit so that they can be working on the Final Project!
Culture Cafe Sessions for Extra Credit for Participation Grade
Students have two final opportunities to attend a Culture Cafe for Extra Credit before the end of the 2nd quarter. The extra credit counts towards a student's participation grade. Please remind your student of these very interesting topics!
Peer Tutor Center
Please encourage your student to contact the Peer Tutor Center for help. I am always willing to help students, but at times students can benefit from a peer's instruction and/or guidance.
I communicated with all parents this past week to update you on your student's progress and to answer any questions you may have. Please contact me if you have any concerns or questions about your child's progress/grade in our class.
