Italy is know for many different foods and clothes. For food, Italy invented pizza; a food very popular in America. Besides pizza, there are many other foods like gelato. Geloto is Italian ice cream. It's much softer than ice cream here in America. Also, the Italians are known for there spaghetti and meat balls as well as breads.
Italian Clothings
Italians have many different genres of clothing, but they mainly specialize in hats and shoes. Since the 1970's, hats have been manufactured mainly for women, less than men, but later on in time they made top hats in various different styles for men.
Not to forget, shoes have been made in Italy in many different style for both men and women. Italian shoes have transformed over the years from old timey heels to sandels: all accustomed for the activities done in Italy. From going to see an opera to taking a gentle boat ride, Italians have shoes for Everything!
Italian Housing
Interior
The inside of an Italian house is very similar from the average American's home. A simple kitchen with a dining room, stairs leading to the next floor, and bedrooms for the kids as well as the parents. Italian homes are usually compact and cozy, not huge and spacey.
Exterior
Italian housing is very interesting to a person in America. Here in the U.S., we have houses spread apart by yard space or a drive way but, over in Italy, the houses are VERY compact and close together with passage ways every few houses to get onto the next street. The style of the houses are beautiful with patios with flower hangers to the many windows on each individual wall. Also, markets and mini marts are added or expanded onto the streets. Civilians can get there fruits and bread be not even taking two steps from there homes.

Italian Literature
Ahh, the old story, "Romeo and Juliet". A piece made be William Shakespeare. It shows the love between two people separated by forces they cannot control. This is an opera. It is one of many preformed in Italy. Opera was fist invented in Italy. It is a way people could express there emotions. It is also a great place to take your girlfriend.
Italian Religion
Italy society consists mostly of Roman Catholicism. The painting "The Last Supper" is dedicated to Jesus as he has his last feast with his disciples. As the beliefs go, they believe in heaven and another life after death.

Hundreds of years ago, the nation was not unified and had its own independent government, but later on in history, they formed Italy: a nation ruled by one ruler a.k.a. a monarchy. Seeing they understood each other they decided to work together to survive instead of separate.
Modern Italian Government
In modern Italian government, the Parliament votes for President as well as the President chooses the Parliament Minister. In 1948, the people voted to change the monarchy government to a presidential one and that is well they wrote their own constitution.
