Flappy Bird

The well known game called Flappy Bird was created by Nguyen Ha Dong, a Vietnamese game developer. It was released on May 24, 2013, but didn't really become famous until the recent Flappy Bird craze. This difficult, addicting game has brought wealth to Nguyen. It's kind of hard to believe but the game brings in $50,000 a day! A game this popular is pretty rare, and most of the time when someone is the owner of such a popular game, they wouldn't take it off the iTunes and Google Play stores. But here, that is not the case. Ha Dong pulled the app of the market on Feb. 9, 2014, not even a year after its release. Enraged fans, whose lives now rotate around Flappy Bird, have even made death threats towards Ha Dong. Now stop for a second and just think. If your favorite game was no longer available for purchase, how would you react? Maybe get really mad or disappointed. But really? Death threats? No wonder it was taken off the market. People who have the Flappy Bird app On their phones are putting them up for sale on E-bay and other online sales websites. Now you would think, Oh, It's just an iPhone, nothing really special. Nope. These people are getting close to $20,000 for their phones. Some of the things people are saying about the game itself are also pretty wild. Most people say that because of the game's level of difficulty, it is addicting and fun. Also, because it is so popular, friends can compare scores to see who is the best, and when you're not, it just makes you want to play more.
