Weekly News for December 7-11

School News and Events

All students should complete their Istation learning path per their December tier group to help develop their reading skills. This is done for homework weekly, but may be done in elective classes.

12/9 Band Practice at Trojan Hall from 8:00 to 10:30 AM

12/9 All County Band tryouts at Trojan Hall from 2:30 to 6:00 PM

12/12 Toys for Tots participants receive their extra break

Soccer Tryouts:

Soccer tryouts for boys and girls will be from 3:30 to 5:00 12/8-12/11, and the following week, 12/15-12/17. You MUST have all paperwork turned in BEFORE you can try out. The boys will dress out right after school, and will meet outside at DMS and then walk over to Trione Park. Students that are planning to try out will need athletic clothes (P.E. Uniform is okay), athletic shoes (cleats suggested, but not required), and a bottle of water or a sports drink.

7th Grade Report

Tuesday, December 9th at 2pm- Juvenile Law Assembly for 7th grade students. Juvenile Probation Officer, Carlie Roley will bring the orange jump suit, the shower shoes, a meal from the jail and a slideshow of pictures from the juvenile detention center in Bay Minette. This lesson correlates with their Civics curriculum.
