The annual TuHS Homecoming Parade is Thursday, October 21st see details below

In an effort to enjoy and celebrate Halloween at Tualatin High School respectfully and responsibly, and in accordance with school rules, we ask that students use the following guidelines when selecting a costume:

1. No head coverings unless it is part of the costume, no masks or full-face paint. Staff members must be able to identify students.

2. Costumes that are provocative, revealing, sexual in nature, or employ questionable props are not permitted.

3. Costumes that depict violence, alcohol, or drugs are not permitted. Fake weapons are not allowed.

4. Costumes that could be offensive or perpetuate a stereotype of someone’s culture, gender, heritage, or religion are not permitted.

5. Costumes should not hinder your ability to participate in your classes, including P.E.

Costumes may not disrupt or impede traffic, or present issues of safety in the hallway

Students wearing questionable costumes will be asked to change into normal school attire and issued school consequences.

Mark your calendar for the Pumpkin Decorating Party on October 27th. It will be held in the commons from 6:00-8:30 pm. Come for a fun night of decorating scary, silly, and creative pumpkin faces! There will be prizes for selected winners, individuals, or teams up to 3, so get ready! Bring a pumpkin, or pick one up in the commons. A reminder to students, please be sure you are using the crosswalks on Boones Ferry Road.

Homecoming Parade

The Homecoming Parade will be on Thursday, October 21st at 4:45 PM.

It will be located at Ibach Park, departing before 5:00 PM.

Clubs are welcome to arrive after school to decorate floats and get information.

SW Boones Ferry Road will be shut down during this time. A map for the parade will be sent out early next week.

Culinary Art 3 presents - House of Vegan !

Inspired by the traditional comfort food of the midwest paired with traditional PNW cooking, House of Vegan showcases the best of the midwest with a twist. Check out the menu! We're opening for one time only on October 21st.

Our restaurant is run in Mrs. McManus's Culinary 3 class where students get the opportunity to create their own recipes, make their own menu, and serve it in the class as a real restaurant. Staff are allowed to eat in the classroom, and students/parents are allowed to pre-order, just fill out the Google Form and pick up when notified as drive-up in our North Parking Lot

and searching for your school’s name. Your online order can be placed before and up to four(4) days after picture day.

US Senate Youth Program deadline 10/15- Grades 11/12

The requirements and state online application are available on Oregon’s U.S. Senate Youth Program webpage. Completed applications are due by Friday, October 15, 2021.

Attendance Calls and Pick Up Information

To report an absence please call the automated attendance hotline 503-431-5630.

To get your student out early for an appointment, please write a note for the student to show to his teacher.

Your student needs to sign out in the attendance office before leaving campus according to your instructions.

If you need to pick up your student please park in the visitor parking in our south lot and sign the student out in the attendance office.

If you forget to give a note to the student please call Debbie Harrison at 503-431-5631. Please allow at least 30 minutes to give us time to deliver a message to the class.

Track your student's attendance in Parent Vue

Our system will send out automated attendance calls at the end of the day if your student missed and was not excused for one or more periods.

You are able to see the classes your students missed in ParentVue.

2020-21 Yearbook Oder Pick Up/ Overflow List

If you received an email that you purchased a yearbook you or your student are able to pick it up at our front desk.

If you forgot to order a yearbook and are still interested please fill out the Google Form to be on a waitlist. The books will be sold on a first come first serve basis according to the timestamp when you filled out this Google Form. You will be notified by email whether there is a yearbook available for you to purchase.

Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences - October 28/29

We are hiring at Tualatin High, Are you interested? Estamos contratando en Tualatin High, ¿está interesado?

We are looking for a night monitor to join our custodial staff. The position involves some basic maintenance such as emptying school garbage cans and sweeping the hallways. The position is daily from 5:00-10:30. You will be working with the school district, but be placed here at Tualatin High. We have some flexibility with hours and high school students are able and encouraged to apply. Please reach out to our office if you’re interested.

El puesto es diario de 5:00-10:30. Trabajará con el distrito escolar, pero será ubicado aquí en Tualatin High. Tenemos cierta flexibilidad con las horas y los estudiantes de preparatoria pueden y se les anima a postularse. Comuníquese con nuestra oficina si está interesado.
