February Vacation Programs
Children who are staying for extended day (2 – 4 PM) have snack time (bring your own) and then they have open recreation time. Extended day activities include games, art, and outside playtime!
9 AM – 2 PM each day, with optional extended day from 2PM - 4 PM
Program fee: $35 per day, $15 per day for extended day.
Limited financial aid is available to qualified applicants from any town – download an application HERE.

Winter Home School Adventures

Who: Children ages 3 and up with a parent or caregiver (no drop-off option available for winter classes). Program fee: $15 for the first child ages 3 and up, $10 for each additional child (ages 3 and up). No charge for children ages 2 and under who are attending with a sibling.

Grow it! Intro to Gardening Workshops
Join Rachel Ziesk, Advanced Master Gardener, for a series of classes that will cover everything you need to be a successful gardener come Spring 2016!
This series is being co-hosted by Common Ground and Neighborhood Housing Services with support from the USDA Risk Management Agency, UCONN, and the CT Dept. of Agriculture.
- January 30: Cool Weather Crops
- February 6: Soil & Garden Planning
- February 13: Warm Weather Crops
- February 27: Container Gardening & Seed Starting
- March 12: Edible Landscaping & Edible/Invasive Weeds
- March 26: Pests, Disease & Organic Controls
$20-$30 per class, sliding scale; $100 to register for the full series.
Note: Discounts may be available. If you'd like to inquire, please call 203-562-0598. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
If you'd like to pay for the workshop(s) in person, you may bring a check or money order to Norma Pantoja at Neighborhood Housing Services (333 Sherman Avenue, New Haven) before the date of the class.
