AHS STUDENTS RECOGNIZED AS NATIONAL MERIT COMMENDED SCHOLARS & NATIONAL MERIT HISPANIC SCHOLAR
Gabrielle Cate and Nicholas Mohair were both named as National Merit Commended Scholars. Maximillian Mirelez, center in the photo was named National Hispanic Merit Scholar. Congratulations to all three students for their academic achievement.
ARGYLE HIGH SCHOOL SEPTEMBER ATHLETES OF THE MONTH
Argyle coaches set high standards for practice and competition in every sport but also promote student-athletes' pursuit of excellence in academics, service to the community and the practice of exceptional leadership traits. Congratulations to the September Athletes of the Month for Argyle ISD, Lanie Rodgers and Cale Nanny. The coaching staff agrees that these two student athletes go above and beyond what is necessary to make AISD's athletic programs the top in the state both on and off the field.
ARGYLE FOOTBALL MOMS ARE THE BEST!
FNF Magazine is proud to announce the winning schools for the 2017 BUBBA burger FNF Magazine Football Team Moms Contest. Two schools from Texas Allen High and Argyle High earned the most votes in an online poll hosted by FNFMagazine.com to earn generous donations to each of the respective football programs.
Allen was the winning large school and will win a $1,000 donation. Argyle was the winning small school and will win $500.
The third annual FNF Magazine Team Moms Contest began July 1 and ran through Sept. 22. Throughout the entirety of the contest, more than 15,000 fans cast votes on the contest’s voting page: http://fnfmagazine.com/moms/.

LOGAN DIOMEDE PACES EAGLES AT BART GRANGER MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT
Argyle's varsity golf team opened their 2017-2018 season at the prestigious Bart Granger Memorial at Pecan Valley Golf Club in Fort Worth.
The tournament is a 54-hole event, and plays host to 52 High School teams, considered to be some of the best high school golf teams in the state.
The tournament pats tribute to Bart Granger was was a stand-out golfer for Fort Worth Paschal. Bart dies in an accident in 1997. This years tournament marked the 20th anniversary and raises scholarship money for Paschal HS students.
Argyle, the only 4A team in the tournament, shot team score rounds of 305 -321 - 308 for a 934 total, finishing 30th out of 52 teams.
Logan Diomede led the Eagles with scores of 73 - 71 - 68, for a 212 total and an 8th place finish out of 250 players. Diomede's four under par final round 68, set a new 18 hole school record for the Eagles.
The Eagles will be back in action next weekend in Abilene.
THE ARGYLE COMMUNITY CARNIVAL WAS A TON OF FUN FOR EVERYONE
The AMS PTO did an amazing job coordinating and planning the Argyle Community Carnival. The weather was great, amazing food vendors were on hand and there were tons of games and activities for the kids.
